Since I started organising this ride I have tried to obtain as much exposure as possible and today was probably my greatest achievement. I made an appearance on national television talking about Ride For The Child.
See Hear is the fifth longest running BBC programme, having been launched in 1981. It focuses on the British and the worldwide deaf community and covers a broad range of topics from areas such as education, deaf people’s rights, technology and language.
It all started when I wrote a post entitled Deaf Cycling. This was picked up by the Guardian newspaper and I was featured on a fair amount of blogs within the deaf community. BBC then contacted my charity, who then in turn put them in touch with me.
I was really chuffed with how it all turned out and I must admit I shed a tear whilst watching. I feel incredibly lucky to be in the position I am.
